Sreekumaran Malayalam megastar Mammootty will soon twinkle on the Telugu silver screen, if the spin from Tollywood is anything to go by. The take is that the Mammootty- Katrina Kaif starrer, Balram Vs Tara Das is being dubbed into Telugu. 
The Telugu version, titled "Monica and the Don", will be dubbed by N Lakshmana Swamy under the Sri Sai Vijaya Ganapati Creations' banner. ‘Balram Vs Tara Das’ marked Bollywood beauty Katrina's Malayalam debut. Katrina will play Monica, an actress who falls in love with Taradas, the don, in the Telugu version as well. Mammootty plays a double role in the movie - as police officer Balram and underworld don, Taradas. The Malayalam original had been directed by veteran I V Sasi. The film is based on the life of a film heroine.
