HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | DOWN SOUTH : KANNADA Five heroines and five roles for Upendra in 'Buddivantha'16th Apr 2008 13.00 IST By Agencies Kannada superstar Upendra has finished shooting for his new film 'Buddivantha' in which he romances five heroines while enacting five different roles. Upendra is paired up with five heroines in the film including Pooja Gandhi of 'Mungaru Male' fame and the super star will be seen in a variety of get ups in the film as he enacts five different roles in the film. 
Postproduction for the film is on and the movie will release in May. Ramanath Rigvedi is the director of 'Buddivantha'. The film is a remake of Tamil flick 'Naan Avanillai', which was made decades ago and it was very successful at the box office. The origin of the Tamil film is the Marathi play written by Prabhas Girishanker. In the original, the protagonist tames the nine girls but in 'Buddivantha' version Upendra has five heroines – Pooja Gandhi, Nadanya, Suman Ranganathan , Saloni and Brinda. This is the first film to shoot in China. Shankre Gowda, Mohan, S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu are the producers of 'Buddivantha'. Vijay Anthony of Tamil films has scored the music. One of the popular yesteryears songs from 'Sose Thanda Sowbhagya' Ravi Vermana kunchada sung by Dr. PB Srinivas is re-mixed and sung by Hariharan in 'Buddivantha'.
