There is a third angle too - a producer caught in the crossfire between the protagonists. The names of the protagonists in this real-life soap: Silambarasan, Nayanthara , Reema Sen and Sandhya . The hapless producer is Thenappan. 
The film that has been stalled on account of the clash of egos is Vallavan , which is being directed by Silambarasan alias Chimbu, who made it big with that sexy thriller 'Manmathan'. Trouble began when one of the heroines, Sandhya crowed that she had the best role among the three heroines! The implication of her boast: the other two have been reduced to being glamour girls in the film. Of course, the Chimbu-Nayan lip-locking posters reinforced the Sandhya charge! Bollywood actress Reema Sen then made her own 'contribution' to the soap by, so goes the buzz, accusing Chimbu of being an incompetent director. Chimbu retorted in kind, muddying the waters further. The other girl, Nayanthara was however all praise for Chimbu. She is on record that the director had a very efficient manner of going about the task of filming it. Caught in the verbal volleys is the unfortunate producer of the film, Thenappan. The million dollar question doing the Kollywood rounds is: Will Thenappan meet the fate that overtook actress Rambha who tried to produce a film titled 'Three Roses' and got lacerated by the 'thorns' in the process?
