Anjori Alagh: A new damsel enters Bollywood

Anjori Alagh , the gorgeous daughter of actress Maya Alagh, aspires to carve a flourishing acting career for herself in tinsel town.

From her very childhood, Anjori wanted to follow the footsteps of her mother. She began acting at the tender age of four and did a number of advertisements with Prahlad Kakkar when she was just a young girl.

But then, Anjori quit acting to complete her studies. She went to the US to study economics and business management in Ohio. On the sidelines she joined a summer course in drama at Stanford. It was in Stanford the final realization dawned on Anjori that she wanted to be an actress and not an MBA.

When Anjori came to India after completing her studies her aim was clear: Bollywood. She joined Kishore Namit Kapoor’s acting academy.

Because her mother is an actress, Anjori did not have much difficulty in approaching producers and filmmakers. It was in one such meeting Anjori made some impression on filmmaker Vikram Bhatt .

A few months after the meeting, Anjori got a call from Bhatt who offered her a role in his movie Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee . The door to tinsel town was finally ajar and Anjori did not hesitate to step in.

‘Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee’ is the story of five friends played by Aftab Shivdasani , Dino Morea , Nauheed Cyrusi , Anjori and Sammir Dattani .

In the film, Anjori plays a headstrong, college-going girl who thinks that acquiring more money will make her happy in life.

Anjori says her debut movie has been a learning experience. And she gives a lot of credit to filmmaker Vikram Bhatt for it.

Even though ‘Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee’ is slated to hit the theatres in April, Anjori has signed one more movie. She is doing Tigmanshu Dhulia’s film called Fame .

We wish she gets fame in Bollywood as well.
