Junior Bachchan’s much-awaited film Shararat will finally make it to the theatres this month.
Shararat has been a curiosity among the movie buffs chiefly for its unusual storyline. Unlike popular Bollywood films it is neither a romantic comedy nor an action thriller. Rather it is a touching emotional drama featuring a host of senior actors like Amrish Puri, A.K.Hangal, Helen, Dara Singh, Tinu Anand and Daisy Irani.
The film is the story of a rich and pampered guy (Abhishek) who is reprimanded by law and sentenced to a month-long stay in an old people’s home. The story shows the transition of a callow Abhishek to a mature and sensible man.
Directed by first timer Gurudev Bhalla, Shararat was earlier scheduled for release early this year. But its release was put on hold as its producers were not able to find any distributors for the film.
