HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | FASHION Akshay Kumar scorches the ramp, literally27th Aug 2008 14.50 IST By ApunKaChoice At the launch of the 501 Levi’s Jeans in Mumbai, Akshay Kumar literally set the ramp ablaze with his fiery act. It was the biggest promotional event of Levi’s and Akshay made sure it grabbed many eyeballs. He stepped on the stage with his shirt missing and his jeans on fire. After a brief pause, he walked the ramp with a bevy of beauties. 
Apart from his incendiary act, Akshay regaled the gathering with his witty one-liners at the Taj Lands End, in Bandra, Mumbai. Speaking about the Levi’s, he said: "To me, my butt looks good in jeans….I have been wearing Levis since my childhood, my father has been wearing for the past three decades, everyone in my family has been buying Levis." When asked about the secret of his muscular physique, the actor said: “Chavanprash. I workout for one hour a day. I do a bit of parkour, a little shadow-boxing and I eat a lot. I don't believe in myoplexes, steroids and injections. I like maa ka parantha and maa ki daal," he said. The actor made a light of his first experience on ramp. “Very easy. Seedha chalo. Dil kare toh beech mein ruk jaao. Look left, look right, then walk again,” he said, flashing his gummy grin.
