HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Lara Dutta becomes an adventure freak30th July 2008 14.30 IST By ApunKaChoice She ain’t no Lara Croft but she is our very own Lara Dutta , the ravishing and spunky beauty who has now developed a liking for anything adventurous. Not long ago, Lara would dread the thought of entering a deep pool. Now, she can’t resist taking a dive with her self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (SCUBA) whenever she sees the deep blue. 
What caused this transformation in Lara was Blue , India’s first underwater film starring Lara, Akshay Kumar , Sanjay Dutt and Zayed Khan . When Lara took on the project she could hardly swim, forget about going underwater. But her co-star Akshay Kumar – the motivator that he is – assured her that after some training, she would be able to do it. Lara underwent a rigorous training in SCUBA diving for the film and today she has become addicted to the thrill of going underwater. Even as Lara enjoys her aqua adventures, the lady rues missing out on her other hobby – horseriding. Lara used to ride her favorite horse Embroidery before she was told to keep away from horse-riding because that would have not gelled with the training regimen for ‘Blue’.
