SCOOP!! & NEWS Gayatri to lie low until Swades hits the marquee07th Dec 2004 20.00 IST By ApunKaChoice Bureau Gayatri Joshi , the newcomer who will begin her Bollywood career with Ashutosh Gowarikar ’s movie Swades , will not sign any new project till her debut film hits the marquee. Gayatri is bound by a contract that she signed when she was roped in for Swades. According to the clause, she is not entitled to sign any new project until Swades hits the marquee, which will be on December 17. 
According to Gowarikar, the clause was very important because if Gayatri signs new project(s) before Swades releases, then the producers of the new projects might want to cast her in raunchy roles. This, says Gowarikar, would adversely affect the fortunes of his film that has Gayatri playing a simple and homely village belle. Gayatri is free to sign projects after Swades hits the theatres.
