HOME | SCOOP!! & NEWS | BOLLYWOOD Irrfan Khan to romance Natalie Portman on screen!26th Feb 2008 16.45 IST By ApunKaChoice After his critically acclaimed performance in Mira Nair’s The Namesake , actor Irrfan Khan will do another film with the lady director. The film, titled ‘Kosher Vegetarian’, will have Irrfan playing a vegetarian Gujarati guy who meets a beautiful Jewish girl, to be played by Natalie Portman. The film will reportedly explore the chemistry between these two people from distinct cultures and backgrounds. 
Natalie is an Israeli-American actress who has won a Golden Globe award for her supporting role in ‘Closer’. She also got an Oscar nomination for the same role. Irrfan says what excites him the most about ‘Kosher Vegetarian’ is that he gets to work again with Mira Nair , whose indefatigable spirit Irrfan admires a lot. Irrfan was recently in California for the Spirit awards where he was nominated in Best Supporting role category. The event gave Irrfan a chance to be close to the internationally acclaimed actors like Dustin Hoffman and Forest Whitaker whose works Irrfan has always loved. Natalie Portman, on the other hand, is in news for her movie ‘The Other Boleyn Girl’ with co-star Scarlett Johanson about whom Portman has been making some bold statements of late.
