Prachi Desai aka ghar ghar ki Bani, was born in Gujarat. Acting is a passion for her. She was studying in Pune when her photographs were sent to Balaji Telefilms. She got a break in Ekta Kapoor’s serial ‘Kasamh Se’. At that time she was only 17.
Prachi was so deep into the skin of Bani that she turned out to be a household name. She was cast opposite Ram Kapoor, playing the role of a girl who is married to an older man.
Later, Indian Television witnessed Prachi participating in the reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Ja’. She won that contest and proved her mettle as a dancer. She is a blue-eyed girl of Ekta Kapoor, whom she considers as her mentor. Her other shows was ‘Kasauti Zindagi Kay’.
Prachi’s Bollywood safar started with the movie ‘Rock On’, where she shared screen space with Farhan Akhtar. Here she played the role of a wife who tries to make her husband happy, with utter ease.
